Serving pre-kindergarten through 5th grade, Donoghue is the second public elementary campus of the University of Chicago Charter School Corporation. Donoghue, which opened in 2005, is a college preparatory campus committed to professional development, inquiry, and high expectations for all staff and students. Donoghue serves as a catalyst for community building by offering programs for students and families beyond the school day.
We are seeking a 4th/5th Grade Math and Science Teacher to deliver ambition instruction in a classroom that not only incorporates evidence-based analysis of practice in order to assure that all students can achieve at high levels, but also provides a stimulating, challenging, and productive learning environment. Individual will work with the Campus Director, Instructional Coaches, and colleagues to implement the school’s literacy framework and Everyday Math program. At the K-5th grade levels, we value teachers with content area expertise, knowledge and experience in using balanced literacy frameworks and Everyday Mathematics.

Applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree in education and IL state certification; at least 2 years of urban teaching experience in related field; and proven program planning and development experience.
