The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Director will work closely with the Associate Vice Provost to provide leadership and direction to faculty, staff, and students to develop programs that will increase math achievement at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. This position manages the documentation and reporting requirements necessary to demonstrate compliance with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) standards related to Quality Enhancement Plan and may teach college-level math courses.
This position typically works Monday-Friday; 8 a.m.-5 p.m. May work beyond normal office hours to include evening, weekends, and peak times.
Collaborates with faculty, administration, staff, and students to create a Quality Enhancement Plant (QEP) that is aligned with the Universityâ™s mission and SACSCOC requirements.
Partner with the QEP development team and other stakeholders to develop policies, procedures, curricula, facilities, and other resources necessary to achieve the goals of QEP.
Promote QEP objectives to on-campus and off-campus constituents.
Partner with the Office of Institutional Research to collect and analyze data necessary to evaluate the QEPâ™s effectiveness.
Develops and leads the activities of the QEP committee.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Earned Doctorate in Math or Math Education from a regionally-accredited institution.
Progressively more responsible experience coordinating and implementing supplemental instruction, math tutoring, and other academic support services for college-level math courses.
Experience conducting training for faculty, staff, and peer or professional tutors. Experience working with under-served and non-traditional student groups, as demonstrated through academic credentials, research, or scholarly engagement.
Two years of experience teaching college level math.
Knowledge of academic assessment, accreditation and academic support program development.
