Our school seeks a professional, experienced and passionate educator to teach mathematics to Middle School grades 7th and 8th. The qualified candidate will have teaching experience at the middle school level, background, interest, and passion for teaching math, and a bachelor’s degree in a related educational field. Successful candidates will have sound pedagogical skills, highly developed writing and organizational skills, experience teaching pre-algebra and algebra, a growth mindset, positive resolve, follow through, and the desire to build positive and meaningful relationships with students in a manner consistent with our child-centered, integrated, and developmentally appropriate curriculum. Position also entails homeroom and advisory responsibilities at the middle school level.
Candidates should have interest and experience working in a diverse setting and also demonstrate cultural competency. We seek and value diversity in our teaching staff and welcome applicants of all backgrounds and identities. Advanced degree preferred but not required.
