Rawson Saunders School in Austin, Texas, seeks an experienced, growth-oriented math teacher/leader to join our team of phenomenal educators supporting the individual learning of our middle and high school students with dyslexia. Creativity, enthusiasm, curiosity, flexibility and a passion for excellence in math education are essential attributes. An interest in teaching high school chemistry is a plus.
Key Competencies and Responsibilities include:
Provide differentiated instruction in secondary math coursework, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Statistics in grade levels 6-12
Implement hands-on and visual instructional strategies grounded in real-world problem solving at all levels
Demonstrate a commitment to and experience with the Singapore Math approach, or a willingness to learn it
Understand and support learning needs and instructional accommodations in each student’s Learner Profile
Incorporate technology to facilitate instructional goals
Maintain positive and consistent communication with parents
Practice professionalism through collaborative work, reflection, inquiry, and continuous improvement
3-5 years of experience is expected. Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
