Dwight School has a position available for a self-directed and dedicated educator for the Quest Department.
Ideal Candidate must meet the following:
Provide one-on-one academic and organizational support to struggling learners.
Must provide high-level support in one or more of the traditional academic disciplines (English, history, math, chemistry or biology)
Actively engage with the classroom teachers, maintaining regular contact with parents about student progress in all areas
Required to participate in all staff meetings and an in-house professional development program
Must be a strong writer and computer literate
Formal training in Special Education preferred, but not required
Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education, Mathematics or a related field required
Master’s Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education, Mathematics or a related field recommended
At least two years prior teaching experience in a classroom setting
Experience with thoughtful technology integration in a Mathematics class
Experience with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program preferred, but not required
