Adjunct position for summer session with possible extension for future summer sessions
Bemidji State University invites applications for an adjunct faculty instructor to teach Elementary Math courses starting summer 2020. Responsibilities include teaching two math courses for elementary education teacher candidates: MATH 1011 Math for Elementary Teachers 1 and MATH 1013 Math for Elementary Teachers 2. Courses are offered online with an option of a scheduled in-person course start-up session at Anoka Ramsey Community College in Coon Rapids. The instructor is expected to respond to student questions, assess student work, and implement high-quality instruction within an online learning environment utilizing the D2L Brightspace platform.
Earned Master's Degree with at least 18 graduate credits in Mathematics or a Master's degree in Mathematics*
K-6 elementary teaching license and/or math teaching license
At least one-year teaching experience of mathematics in grades k-6
Teaching experience online or at the post-secondary level
Demonstrated experience working with and/or interest working with students and colleagues from multi-cultural and diverse backgrounds and using culturally responsive pedagogy and practice
