Dublin School, an intentionally small 9-12 co-ed college preparatory boarding school located in beautiful, rural southwestern NH, seeks a Physics and Math Teacher to join our community for the 2020 -2021 school year. As a residential boarding school, employees are expected to fill multiple roles. The successful candidate for this position would be expected to teach three to four sections of physics or math classes, coach as appropriate, and perform dorm duty and serve a regular rotation on a duty team. Dublin is looking for a candidate with a passion for Physics and integrated science education. We are building an interdisciplinary science program with an emphasis on student-centered curriculum. Faculty members must be able to carefully balance the need to engage with students and form positive mentor/mentee relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Be creative in helping to develop residential life programming for students’ enjoyment and social education. Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and demonstrate comfort working with a wide variety of constituencies as a relationship-builder, who can converse and interact at any level, influence a range of stakeholders, and inspire loyalty, respect, and admiration. Position: This is a full-time position, combining teaching responsibilities in Physics/Math, dormitory parenting, and coaching responsibilities. The successful candidate will teach three to four sections of Physics/Math classes, coach two sports, or instruct activities that are equivalent to two sports. Position Reports to Faculty members report to the Academic Dean for instruction, the Dean of Students for dormitory parent responsibilities, and to the Athletic Director for coaching/activity responsibilities. Preferred Education and/or Experience: Master’s Degree (MS) or Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Physics/Math or a closely related field. |
