Morristown-Beard School seeks a vibrant, intellectually engaging Middle School Mathematics teacher to join a forward-looking, diverse learning community. This unique environment paired with support is made possible through two key components: a teacher to student ratio of 1:7 and significant individual attention. Using an “Integrated Math” approach, students are taught to use math skills for data analysis, to understand basic algebraic and geometric concepts, to use statistical analysis across topics, and to think critically. Candidates should possess strong mathematical thinking skills to inspire middle school students to problem solve and reason. The successful candidate should be committed to actively involving students in learning through applications, technology, and differentiated instruction. Responsibilities will also include advising a group of students, participating in community events, coaching, directing a club, or supervising activities.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Math (minimum); experience teaching Middle School; comfort with an “Integrated Math” approach; ability to teach Algebra and Geometry; proficiency with the use of technology; commitment to working cooperatively with the Middle School faculty and members of the Math Department and a demonstrated commitment to an inclusive academic community.
Qualified candidates are invited to send a cover letter and resume to email@example.com.
