Are you enthusiastic about working with middle school students in and out of the math classroom? Waynflete School seeks a full-time middle and upper school math teacher. Responsibilities will include teaching primarily in the middle with possible upper school classes, advising in middle school, and overseeing co-curricular activities and/or coaching. Applicants must have specific training and background in math education (6th grade through 9th grade). Waynflete teachers are passionate, innovative, and dedicated members of a school community striving for excellence in supporting the academic, social and personal development of adolescents. This position involves creating and implementing meaningful math learning experiences for students that emphasize collaboration, communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and relationship building.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or related fields is required-Master's degree in a related field preferred, three years of middle school teaching experience, knowledgeable about current educational practices and methods, excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills.
