Provide support services to assist low-income first generation high school students in the Upward Bound Math Science Pre-College Program. Services provided must help Upward Bound Math Science students recognize and develop their potential to excel in math and science and to encourage them to pursue post-secondary degrees in math and science, and ultimately careers in the math and science profession. Must conduct and coordinate a series of individual or group experiences that includes research preparation and address the project's funded objectives. Weekend and evening work activities required.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a (STEM) science or math related field required plus two (2) years of experience in an educational agency or institution required. Experience providing academic support services or related that improves student academic performance and preparation for post-secondary education in a STEM field required. Must be able to drive a 12 passenger van, have a valid driver's license, and meet eligibility requirements to drive on UNL business.
Master's degree in a STEM field preferred. Fluent in a second language other than English preferred. TRIO Programs experience preferred. Demonstrate ability to communicate with high school aged youth preferred. Experience in working with school staff, and parents/guardians preferred. Experience in developing and implementing research based programs for high school students preferred.
