Chicago Jewish Day School (CJDS) has an opening for a lower school part-time math specialist for the 2020-2021 school year. We seek to hire an experienced and knowledgeable math specialist to join our Student Services Team comprised of 3 learning specialists, school psychologist, and social worker.
Requirements: Professional Educator’s License 4 or more years teaching experience with grades 1 through 5.

Experience: Collaborating with a team of teachers, providing individual and small group remediation to individual students in and out of the classroom, and cooperation/meetings with parents Teaching grades 1 through 5 in both inclusion and pull-out models Teaching math enrichment and remediation Working collaboratively with parents and outside providers as team partners Adapting classroom work for the purpose of providing students with instructional materials that address individualized learning plans Supporting and encouraging teacher learning regarding accommodations and modifications Writing reports and summaries of student growth Experience teaching reading and writing a plus
