Severn School is searching for a full time Upper School mathematics teacher to begin in August of 2020. The ideal candidate can teach a variety of Upper School mathematics courses, will have a strong educational background with a degree in a related field, and will be interested in coaching or club leadership. Previous secondary school teaching experience and the ability to teach computer science or robotics is preferred but not required.
Instruction at Severn starts with relationships and emphasizes the importance of understanding, connections, and teamwork in order to create a learning environment that promotes both achievement and inclusivity. The Severn faculty is a community of learners committed to ongoing professional development, collaboration, and collegiality, and teachers are expected to develop and employ a variety of teaching methods, including the effective use of technology, as well.
