Garden School, located in Jackson Heights, Queens, seeks an innovative, and energetic teacher to join our Math Department.
Founded in 1923, Garden School approaches its centennial with the same enthusiasm as always, to educate the whole person across a broad curriculum, preparing them to be caring, engaged citizens for the world ahead. We educate students from Nursery through 12th grade, with average class size being 12 students. Garden School is located in Jackson Heights, Queens, a thriving neighborhood that boasts a diverse population, readily available public transit, cultural offerings, amazing cuisine and beautiful architecture. Nearly all graduates attend four-year colleges and universities with students enrolling at Princeton, Cal-Berkeley, UCLA, University of Rochester, Brown, Columbia, Wesleyan, Emory and Wellesley in just the past three years.
Those applying for the position should have a minimum of three years teaching experience at the middle school and/or secondary level. All applicants should be capable of teaching Algebra, Algebra II, Geometry & Pre-Calculus. A Master's degree is a plus.
