The Blake School seeks to hire a skilled and dynamic middle school (grades 6-8) math teacher to join our outstanding faculty for the 2021-22 school year. The ideal candidate will be capable of teaching all levels of middle school mathematics, from sixth grade math to geometry and demonstrate a strong interest in problem-based learning, learner-centered pedagogy and alternative assessments. Zeal for working with middle school students is a must. Candidates who can teach advanced mathematics to talented middle school students are particularly suitable, as are those with a background in teaching computer science. We welcome applicants who wish to coach in our strong athletic program. Blake is interested in candidates who will enrich the diversity of identity, lived experience and thinking that makes our community strong and empowers students to engage across differences.
The search committee will begin reviewing applications immediately. Blake will typically cover the travel and lodging costs for finalist candidates visiting from out of town.
