Math Teacher

Justin-Siena is seeking a Math Instructor for the 2021-2022 school year.

The essential responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Teaching five sections of Math, possible Engineering course
• Experience teaching in an online platform
• Collaborating within the Mathematics Department to investigate, develop and deliver our curriculum;
• Advising a small group of students;
• Engaging meaningfully in student life;
• Performing weekend, evening, or overnight duties as assigned.

They are committed to maximizing the holistic growth of all students. Preference will be given to practicing Catholics. 

Qualifications 

Candidates must possess demonstrated competence in the content area, as well as research-based best pedagogical practices. An advanced degree in the content area is preferred. Preference will also be given to those with the ability to teach all math courses at the AP®, honors, and college prep levels from Algebra I through AP® Calculus BC, Statistics, who have a demonstrated ability to engage students actively in their learning, and who hold a current California Teaching Credential. Preference will be given to those with experience in Lasallian or other Catholic high schools. We seek candidates with track records of positive, professional collaboration in team settings. An understanding of the developmental needs of adolescents is necessary; therefore, we seek a healthy combination of positivity, flexibility, energy, creativity, and sense of humor. We seek demonstrated experience working in a diverse, inclusive community and strong cross-cultural competency skills.
