Wooster School seeks an Upper School Math Teacher. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree, teaching experience at the Upper School level, and a capacity, flexibility, and desire to teach across grade levels and divisions. This teacher will primarily focus on Geometry and Algebra 2. Candidates should be curious students of the art and science of teaching and learning, particularly in the context of mathematics. They should demonstrate a flexible, positive, can-do disposition and should be interested in innovative math teaching and the use of technology. As part of a school-wide instructional focus, the ideal candidate has experience with or an interest in learning about offering personalized instruction, rooted in offering multiple pathways, to address the jagged profiles of learners.
Teach five (5) course sections
Participate in various student-focused programs such as: advisory, chapel, community meals, and clubs
Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning through continued professional development
Commit to designing culturally responsive curricula and experiences in collaboration with our Center for Equity and Justice
