Upper School Math Teacher

Pace Academy is an independent college preparatory school in Atlanta, Ga., with an enrollment of 1,115 students in Pre-First through 12th grades. Pace Academy provides a rigorous academic curriculum to prepare students for success at a variety of prestigious colleges and universities. For the 2021-2022 academic year, Pace is looking for an experienced Upper School Math Teacher to teach four to five math sections, which may include Algebra II, Precalculus and/or AP Calculus AB.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares course objectives and outlines for courses of study, in conjunction with other Upper School faculty, following curriculum guidelines or requirements of state and school.
• Participates in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences and teacher training workshops.
• Effectively incorporates principles of diversity, equity and inclusion in teaching and classroom culture.
• Attends training, professional development and education in antiracism, diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Communicates effectively with parents in a timely manner.
• Leads parent-teacher conferences.
• Attends parent gatherings and assists with school-sponsored trips.
• Participates in the co-curricular activities of the school community (such as coaching, sponsoring one or more activities or student organizations,).
• Other duties may be assigned.
