| Whitfield School, an innovative educational institution for students in grades 6-12, seeks to welcome an Upper School math teacher to a community that emphasizes college prep through character education. Teachers at Whitfield actively engage with—and learn from—colleagues on a daily basis, thrive on the opportunity to co-create an equitable and inclusive environment alongside a diverse student body, and apply research-based best practices in their classrooms day in and day out. This position is for the 2021-2022 academic year. In addition to demonstrating a passion for this work, ideal candidates will: -
Have a demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues -
Have both a depth and breadth of knowledge regarding an upper school math curriculum - including coursework from algebra through introductory calculus -
Have a demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction - especially with 9th,10th and 11th grade students

Leverage diversity, equity, and inclusion through culturally competent teaching and embracing the diversity of our student body. -
Managing a grade-level advisory, which meets several times a week and serves as the foundation of the school’s teacher-student-family relationship. -
Technology integration through Whitfield’s learning management system (Blackbaud ON) and industry-leading 1:1 laptop program (Microsoft Surface Pro). -
