Vermont Academy seeks a teacher to teach economics and math, including financial math. Candidates with a background in statistics, calculus, or mathematical modeling will get special consideration. The successful candidate will be an accomplished, innovative teacher with excellent interpersonal skills, organizational ability, and an enthusiasm for working with adolescents. We seek a teacher to teach four to five academic sections, be a part of the residential life program, lead or coach an afterschool program, and be an academic advisor. Teaching experience at the secondary level is preferred. Technical facility with Google Workspace, Zoom, and other software commonly used in schools is expected. Details - Teach four to five economics and math including finance math.
- Live in, or serve as an affiliate to one of the Academy’s dormitories
- Monthly weekend duty
- Coach or supervise an activity during two seasons
- Serve as an academic advisor
- Acquire, with the school’s help, a Type II van license
- Other duties as assigned by the Head of School.
